Peter Morrell
Head of Music & Drama

Peter has a lifelong passion for Music and the performing arts. Before coming to Kairos, he spent five years directing his startup school, Sound Foundations Music, teaching singing, piano, violin and pipe organ to children and adults of mixed ages and abilities. He was the Director of Music at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, New Malden, leading music for the traditional Catholic liturgy.

As a child, Peter was classically trained at Westminster Cathedral Choir School, London, where he also wrote and directed his first school play. He later branched out to explore a cappella, jazz and world music, graduating with first-class honours in Music from City, University of London in 2018, whilst fronting his rock band at weekends. Peter’s research specialisms include human voice studies and the interconnectedness between the sonic and visual in early years development.

Peter has sung to audiences worldwide including throughout Europe, in Asia (Hong Kong, South Korea) and twice in the USA. He is a qualified Montessori Assistant and Good Shepherd Catechist, aiming to build a vibrantly joyful performing arts culture as a sign of authentic Christian witness.
