Lisa Abbott
Children's House Guide
Ages 3-6

Lisa is a qualified Montessori directress (3-6 years) having completed her training at the Maria Montessori Institute in London.

Lisa comes to the Children’s House from a background rich in cultures, peoples and a pursuit of working for the vulnerable and fragile. This aspiration led her from her home in the Cayman Islands to the plains of North Dakota, teaching for 3 years on the Turtle Mountain reservation, to the western boarders of Belize, teaching and catechising, to a “School of Life” for those recovering from addictions, and to companionship with the elderly, those living with dementia and those close to the end of life.

Lisa holds a BA Hons in Drawing from Camberwell College of Art, a diploma in Icon Painting (Liturgical Arts) and an advanced diploma in Logotherapy (meaning-centered therapy). She has begun her initial training as a Catechist of the Good Shepherd.
