Daniel Watkins

Daniel has worked in education as a teacher, tutor and education consultant for over 30 years. He began his teaching career in leading British independent schools including Glenalmond and Marlborough Colleges. He has considerable experience teaching ‘A’ levels and the IBDP to international school students in the Middle and Far East including Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Malaysia. He was the private tutor to the family of HRH Prince Khalid al Faisal, former Saudi Education Minister, for sixteen years and was the founding director of a private tutor school and examination centre for members of the Royal Family in Riyadh.

Most recently he has worked as a private English consultant and researcher for the CEO of the King Khalid Foundation.  Daniel teaches English, Psychology and Business advanced courses. He has a great deal of experience in teaching these subjects and has first class honours degrees in both English and Psychology. His first degree from Cambridge University was in Philosophy. 

Before teaching, Daniel worked as an accountant for Coopers and Lybrand and Workman & Partners. Prior to this, he was an Inspector in the Royal Hong Police Force (District Intelligence). Daniel is an independent author and publisher and he writes novels. He is a keen runner and plays the cello. When not teaching, he enjoys spending time with his family in Scotland and on their small farm in central Portugal.
